I shot all of these on tmax 400 with a yashica 124g. i'm not sure why max's and ethan's are huge but they are so crisp... medium format is THE SHIT

photos [Jan. 28th, 2006|09:21 pm]

mike bova and a sunset at jiminy peak. these aren't very special but they were shot on 20 year old film so it's funny that they came out at all. I find it interesting that I sized them all identically yet photobucket took it upon itself to make all of them different sizes!

ecstatic new year! [Jan. 1st, 2006|07:33 pm]
I just got home , after a 6 hour train ride from buffalo. I had a really, really wonderful time during the past few days... I was visiting the one and only megan mulholland. she was a gracious host, and now I am feeling a the best mix of emotions ( i.e. happiness, excitement, joy). like megan said, 2006 seems to be the best year so far, and much more is to come, I know that much. I am more apt to describe this new year as an "ecstatic new year" as opposed to a simple "happy" one... "ecstatic: feeling or expressing overwhelming happiness or joyful excitement." that sounds perfect.

quickly [Dec. 21st, 2005|11:22 pm]
I thought I'd update quickly:

The shelter premiere was great, really a great night. The video was very well received and altogether the night was very memorable.

School is draining, the whole student body is ridiculous, the work is tedious and in great abundance. At about 5:00 p.m. every day, I think to myself about how I've retained nothing from the schoolday, neither socially or academically. I suppose I just need something new to work on; I've got alot of ideas floating around in my head, hopefully after christmas I'll have the funds and means to put some of them into action.

There's one person in particular that I'd like to sit around with, out in the cold, or inside, with tea, and talk about many things. Talk shit about highschool, discuss college life, art, aspirations, and life in general. If by some odd chance they're reading this I'm sure they'll realize that it's them that I am referring to.

Hopefully the christmas spirit will perform it's magic on me and rid me of some of my cynical sentiments.

anticipation! [Dec. 16th, 2005|12:21 am]
It's 12:07 on a thursday night, I'm anticipating a delay tomorrow morning... otherwise I'll be very tired.

Things have been moving at a very fast past, sometimes I find myself wishing that time would slow down for a bit, so that I could accomplish more.

I've been spending a lot of time in the darkroom; I'm making some prints for my mother for christmas. It's nice to have somewhere you can go and be completely focused and alone, with no outside noise or distraction.

I've got a few things to look forward to, that I've BEEN looking forward to for a long, long time.

1. Shelter video premiere

This is going to be great, they're having it at the fuse box, so I'm not sure if i'll be allowed to stick around after the video seeing that I'm quite underage, but nevertheless the video will be amazing and I am really happy that I am a part of it.

2. Visting Megan in WESTERN, WESTERN, WESTERN new york

I was looking at a map of new york state, and wow, chautauqua lake really IS all the way in the southwest corner of new york. I'm really excited to visit Megan and spend new year's eve in chautauqua... it sounds very nice there. I really hope that we get a chance to go to Niagara Falls, I haven't been there since I was much younger and I remember it being SENSATIONAL! So generally speaking, I am very EXCITED !

3. Christmas

I suppose I should've listed this before my travel plans, but there's something about christmas this year that's promising. I want to start shooting medium format film so I asked for a yashica 124g but they're really only available through ebay these days, so I don't expect to get it. I'll probably end up buying it with my own money. I did my usual dvd shopping for my relatives today, and lo and behold, KIDS, the dvd I've been looking, for was sitting on the shelf in target for 7 dollars. I had to buy it.

Attention BRTC people... there is now an 8x10 of the one and only Timothy Huth hanging in the scene shop... I hope nobody gets mad that I put it there. I thought I would hang it out of respect for his absence from Pippen due to his poor grades.

If anyone likes to be photographed, I'm really enjoying shooting/developing/printing everything myself, and it'd be nice to have a new subject to shoot. So volunteer yourself! you'll get free photos of yourself!

I know this photo is weak... I just like it for some reason.

Tonight, after it rained, I rode my bike home from Tressa's house, and there were no cars on the road. It was silent. It was a nice feeling.

I am excited.

I went here two days in a row to shoot the sunset, this was the day where the clouds ruined it. but it came out alright anyways, I like the leaves floating in the air.

I like this statue, I like the shadow of the tree branches across it's chest... it just seems a bit corny.

everyone tell me what you think, please.

FUCK [Nov. 5th, 2005|12:30 am]
Ben Folds is fucking amazing. I will remember this night forever. We were in the front row, only a few feet away from the stage.

Even in elementary school I loved him, I used a song of his in the first movie I ever made, when I was 11 years old or something.

WOW
